I have noticed that my ABS often got activated when I back out of my garage spot. It probably happens 50% of the time and I drive very slowly when backing out of my spot. Does anyone have the same issue? It is inside a high rise garage with concrete floor.
The ABS system does a self test shortly after you begin driving. You may notice this because you are moving slowly.
Antilock Brake
System (ABS)
This vehicle has ABS, an advanced
electronic braking system that helps
prevent a braking skid.
When the vehicle begins to drive
away, ABS checks itself.
A momentary motor or clicking noise
might be heard while this test is
going on, and it might even be
noticed that the brake pedal moves
a little. This is normal.
Are you sure? Are you hearing your tires skipping/scrubbing across the surface on tight slow turns when they are cold? The OEM PSS tires are very hard when cold, which is the same reason that they don't grip very well in cold temps.
