When is the earliest I can pay for my car if I ordered Museum delivery. My car has a 4/16 TPW and my approval from my bank is valid until 5/4. Will I be able to finish the paperwork and pay for the car before this date if the TPW stays as targeted?
What SSTG said. As soon as it has a VIN you will be able to purchase. I am in same boat and wanted to pay up front as opposed to 2 separate transactions (deposit and full payment), but was told they cannot sell a vehicle that doesn't have a VIN yet.

It will be a combination of the VIN abd the car actually being built. At least this is what I just experienced. I was given my VIN by Shane at the museum a day or two ahead of my TPW, I was asked to pay for the vehicle a few days later when it came off the line. I suppose I could’ve paid once there was VIN but before it was built but wasn’t asked to do so. In any event with your TPW and date your approval is good through I’d think you’d be fine.
Remember your warranty starts from the purchase date NOT the date you pick up the car.
This is an important point and also one of the many cases where Europe provides far better consumer protection than the U.S. Under EU regulations the warranty period begins when the product is actually delivered to the customer.
As some consumers in the U.S. have discovered to their dismay an appliance installed during new home construction or as part of a remodeling/upgrade may have lost most or all of its warranty by the time it is actually installed and put into service because its warranty clock starts ticking as soon as it is purchased.
Unlike most, our Museum delivery was a nightmare of ineptness. Certainly not everyone's experience, but it was ours. Second, we paid for our car the day it rolled from the line in BG. FedEx to the selling dealer in MI. They cared not when we took Museum delivery. They cared about the check's delivery.

Nesch -
I just heard from Shane Webb at the NCM regarding my order. I placed the order on 3/1/2018 and have been given a TPW of 3/27/2018.
This is from Mr. Webb just now:
Your car is scheduled to be completed on 3/27. Typically, your first available date for Museum delivery is two weeks from the day your car comes off the production line or any reasonable time after that (1-2 additional weeks) if necessary. Once it passes through its QC hold and is made available to us from the transport company, we will reach out to you directly to schedule. We offer appointments at 7:45 AM or 10:00 AM (CT). If there is a particular date/time you are hoping for, I can hold a spot and confirm once the car is released.

So it appears like after produced, would have a 2 week wait time up to 4 weeks (dependent on my schedule).
Also, would like to add - Shane contacted me about a week ago and I had to fill out some paperwork for the verbiage for the Plaque on the dash, so I imagine you will be getting this email when closer to your date.
Hope this helps,
Logan
