It's a winner! Half the fun is the anticipation. Good on you. You'll enjoy it more than you think. When I bought mine I planned on saving it and driving it on weekends and nice weather and all the kind of stuff. It is 26 months old and I have 61,000 miles and smiles on it! I can't stay out it to save my soul.

So today was a big day - my C7 was "born" & as of today, I have a built vehicle with a VIN number.
I learned yesterday that the NCM would install some aftermarket accessories for a nominal fee. So I ordered ACS front splash guards/GM rear splash guards for a $25 fee, payable upon delivery.
So I have those ordered and the SunTek PPF and window tint scheduled for the day after I pick her up.
Trying to figure when "she" will be on camera in the NCM awaiting my pickup, you know, so I can be even further unproductive in my work life.

Congratulations! Having just been through the waiting process and taken delivery at the museum last Thursday it is well worth the wait and anticipation. It really gets hard to focus once she’s on the museum floor and you can look live via web cams! Be sure to let us know what camera you are on.
Been a long wait, but the day is tomorrow. Over the last few weeks I have:
#1 - Finished all paperwork and got her paid for
#2 - Got my temp tags and temp registration + insurance all taken care of
#3 - Ordered and had installed by the NCM (thanks teejake!) ACS front and GM rear splash guards
#4 - Ordered a new radar detector and blendmount + mirror tap
#5 - Scheduled window tint and PPF (drop it off Saturday)
#6 - Read the owners manual over and over
#7 - Read this forum almost daily and did lots of searches
#8 - Registered for onstar and tracked the car for awhile now (I know they filled her up with fuel since went from 44 miles range to 300+ on one day)
#9 - Watched the darn webcam since Tuesday, the day she went to delivery bay #8 - I am amazed how many folks' were watching and taking pics of my ride!
#10 - Added some tunes to my playlist for the drive back home to Nashville

Well guys I pickup my Z06 exactly 1 month from today at the NCM. I couldn't be more excited. It is a long time coming -
I have saved for about +/- 10 years to purchase a new Corvette, working long hours to accomplish.
I got sidetracked on the savings for 4 years when my son decided to attend a $75k per year college with no/limited scholarships (best money I've spent, the Vette will be the 2nd best money I've spent I am sure...) that my 529 we started upon birth only covered partially.
But, now the time is imminent. I can see the sun coming over the horizon, the eagle is in the nest, awaiting its first flight, my 22 year old son is a Aeronautical Engineer that may help a certain, unamed company get to Mars in our lifetimes, and I am going to play the lottery in the morning just in case this is a lucky streak.
My wife and I have spent the past 2 months cleaning out and organizing the garage, making room for the new toy.
There is no point in this post, just happy and excited and relieved and did I mention excited?
As far as the new toy - it is a 2019 WGG vert, M7, non-Z07, everything that can be carbon fiber is, Napa, non-suede black leather, 3LZ with Spectra-Gray Wheels.
Thanks for reading my pointless post. Looking forward to contributing to the community when the day arrives...

I just unlocked it and unlocked it from the OnStar app while watching it on camera. I am really unsure why I think that is cool, but...
Why not?

Thanks all -
Wow, what an experience. Shane Webb and Larry McCool (yes real name!) were excellent hosts! 10/10 would do again for sure. The Laminated Build Sheet, plaque, and other accoutrements of the R8C delivery were worth the cost IMO. Of course it helps to not have a flight and hotel and rental car expense.
Plus, driving the 80'ish miles home in the Z was even better. Towards the end of the delivery I was getting anxious to get on the road and enjoy the ride...
Sadly, she goes in for a week or so for PPF/Paint Correction and a ceramic coating, etc. So I wont be able to play next week, so more waiting...
Thanks to all for the support - I am officially one of you C7 guys now!
More pics later, but here are a few for now...

One of my employees made this time-lapse video of the experience, I'm not even mad he was watching instead of working...
