Sensing and diagnostic module?
Hi,
I'm looking at a pre owned 2016 C7 2LT with low miles. Carfax shows sensing and diagnostic module reprogrammed at 2700 miles. Sales guy says it was due to a safety recall. Does this sound reasonable? If not, what could be the reason? Otherwise, clean Carfax. Thanks!

Sounds reasonable to me.
Even if it wasn't actually a recall, who cares. GM doesn't come out with new programming for the fun of it. So I would say be thankful the previous owner got it handled and saved you the hassle.

SDM is just another name for airbag module. There was a recall that affected 14-17 Corvette, among other cars. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Had that done on my 2014. If air bag control module is in self diagnostic mode when crash occurs, the air bag may not deploy. Reprogram fixed the bug.
