Default Headlight covers black

The C7 Z51 I'm looking at has black headlights. Any good threads explaining this. Curious is its just a after market new plastic cover on it or a tinted film or ?? Ideas?

Looks like 'tint' to me.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you consult either your State D.O.T. regulations regarding light restriction on a vehicle or a State Trooper.

Sadly, either you 'consult them' first, or they will 'consult' you.

Sorry, to be the bearer of bad news.

What's the purpose of darkening the lenses that your car's headlights shine through? Maybe it's a young man's thing, kinda like black wheels are more popular with the younger guys.
