The fact that Callaway doesn't use ported (instead, they use stock) throttle-bodies on their cars tells me all I need to know.

It was intended as genuinely valid info. Perhaps, I should have worded it differently... sorry.
How's this, instead, "Don't waste your money on one" All the best on your mods no matter how you go.

If it's response you want, go Vitesse throttle controller. If it's HP you want, go forced induction - your pick.
If it's more air movement, buy a Burger air filter for the stock intake.
I think he was politely suggesting that you save your money. That said, it's your $.

There are a few good choices out there. WeaponX has their art of porting down to a science and it performs perfectly. SoCal Porting does as well.

87mm. Many ported versions to choose from... Katech, Weapon X, Tony Mamo, etc.

Bought the Katech due to they trim down the blade shaft. The porting work is nice. I ran my best ever 60', 1/8, 1/4 and MPH on my Base A8, no mods or tune, just DR's. 11.516 @ 120.90 here at Fontana. Best previous was 11.732 at 118.59.

Same that's used on some of the trucks too, I believe. Same with our exhaust manifolds
Nice gains from porting those too, BTW.

Yeah, many were critical that the same 87mm TB was used on the 650HP Z06, but it was able to managed its needs and more. It wouldn’t surprise me if it is being used on the ZR1 as well.

The C7 ZR1 has a larger 95mm throttle body.

My 87 mm from Tony Mamo should arrive tomorrow (if the mailman can get through the snow).

We have great reviews on our ported TBs! We have sold hundreds of them
https://weaponxmotorsports.com/produ...corvette-cts-v
We have ported LT5 TBs in stock as well; however, I'll need to get my ZR1 in a couple weeks for testing and verification. The bolt pattern is different though, so it's not a direct swap. I need to test more too, we can make it work as we have a flange designed and 3D printed but haven't rolled into machining yet; however, the car we put it on to test threw it into REP mode as well, so we need to do some more testing there as well.
