2017 LT1 automatic poor shift

His only complaint is why did GM wait this long to get it right.
This is just what I read.I stick with the M7.Using the no lift shift procedure i’m nearly as quick as the auto.
I always use the latest TCM software that I know works.
Honestly, don't call me if you're just looking to fix a trans bug that a GM update will fix. If you're not
local to me, it's not worth the trouble.
ON THE OTHER HAND.... If you want the problem to go away AND make the car into a monster.....

The Range has NO impact on this behavior. I had a range it it forever. The engine is not going to go into 4 cylinder putt-putt mode anyway till it is warned up. It is not going to be in V4 mode in first gear.
As far a an aftermarket tune, I would stear clear. If you have the prominent TC issues and GM finds an aftermarket tune, you will probably be on your own. If you are out of warranty, tune away!
I'll assume you are on a B2B warranty. If it really bugs you, take it in and the dealer will check if there is a newer flash available. Maybe they will try the triple flsuh with the newer fluid if the 17 don't have that.

2015 Cars in particular have MANY software updates for the trans and you would have the best shot at
addressing your concerns by having them.
Additionally, we have had a few modified 2015 A8 cars that caused me headaches for an entire year to resolve shift complaints
when driving easy and after what amounted to 60 or so re-flashes
the problem was still NOT resolved.Fast Forward, I created a custom A8 tune for the 2015 A8 Cars that now works PERFECTLY regardless wether
the vehicle is STOCK or MODIFIED.
The primary complaint was a very hard SLAM SHIFT slowing to a stop.....
All fixed now, but YES requires my tune and AutoCal package.
