Default C7 differences

I have a 17 GS. What are the differences between it, and the 18’s and 19’s?
I have driven an 18, couldn’t tell any difference.

Not very much. 2019 offers a new color - sebring orange and may be dropping the blue.

GM tweeked the A8 trans software on 18 &19. They also tweeted the MRC software on 19 (not sure about 18). Added MY19 ZR 1. Deleted Sterling Blue & Black Rose colors for 18 & 19. Added new color Sebring Orange MY18 &19. Standard stage 2 aero side skirts & splitter on GS starting MY18. Changed base motor oil starting MY19 to Mobil1 Oil 0W-40 Dexos 2 ESP. Introduced Carbon65 for MY18. There may be a few other minor tweaks.

The backup camera changed resolution/aspect ratio in '18, going from old Atari from the 80's quality to something better--likely Nintendo from the 90's quality.

Other than adding the ZR1, the differences between 18 and 19 for the base/GS and Z06 trim levels, seem either non-existent or so minor they could be done within the same model year.

So why bother changing the production year?

Is it to avoid no MY 2019 like 1983?

Thanks!

John

I believe MY19 added a new Track Mode view, or should I say it added more to the Track View mode on the dash.

My 2018 has that view on it too in Track View (that shows all the digital readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil temperature and trans temperature along with tire pressures and tire temperature)

I thought they may have added it to 2018 MY but I wasn't sure. Thanks for clarifying.

Backup camera resolution is the FIRST thing I worry about when I look at a car.

Heh, I mean, it wasn't at the top of my list either. But the backup camera on my GS 17 makes me feel like I'm looking through wax paper. Not a big deal at all of course but Chevy could have spent another $1.29 on a higher resolution camera.

You said standard stage 2 aero side skirts and splitter on GS? do you have a pic?

i thought all gs had 3/4 side skirts and poverty splitter. unless that's what you mean by stage 2.

i thought stage 2 was splitter with winglets and full length carbon flash skirts?!?

You are correct 3/4 splitter standard. now in GS. I think the 3/4 was an option for 17. You are correct about full skirt for stage 2. Like I said in 17 I don’t believe a skirt was standard. Good catch. Thanks for clarifying.

'18 and up also improved the gauge displays in Track mode to indicate actual numerical values versus ust bar graphs...

Cosmetically very little if any difference from a 2015 to 2019 with the exception of the ZR1.

So, what I'm analyzing here is NO REAL CHANGE, that would effect market value.....So, if some ones looking at an '17-18-19, it's just condition, mileage, personal prefrerance
I wonder how the lenders will think with payments and tables for buyers???? NO, I'm not a Banker.. they always Suck wind
