Default Carbon Flash

So I ran my car on a curb Friday night and busted my Carbon Fiber Splitter on the front. (yes a DA but it happens)

My questions, is all Carbon Fiber color the same? If I purchased a Carbon Fiber splitter from a different manufacturer will you be able to tell from the side skirts?

Thanks for your replies and yes laugh at me as I deserve it

Keith

Sorry about the incident. It happens.

Unclear about your question though. Are you asking about carbon flash, the color or carbon fiber, the weave?

Some weave and twill diferences in carbon fiber, so depending on how picky you are, it's possible to spot differences

If you are talking Carbon Flash it is a paint color from GM. If the company selling the product uses the same paint, then it should match. Of course, their application of the paint may or may meet your needs. Carbon Fiber varies between those who produce it. I'd stick to the same manufacturer for Carbon Fiber if you want them to match.

If you’re referring to the Carbon Flash painted pieces, then most will match if using the proper Paint code #501Q.

If you are referring to carbon fiber pieces, then the weave can be different as mentioned. Also, the color can vary slightly, i.e., the OEM visible carbon fiber roof has a slight brownish hue, whereas the GM carbon fiber splitter and side skirts do not, albeit, most would never see the contrast unless the roof was placed against each other...

Thanks for the response. I am not a veteran by any means when it comes to Corvette ownership, but I bought a Carbon Flash set from one company and now the one piece is higher than the original pricing but another company is half price and I was just wondering if you could tell the difference in (painting or weaves or whatever)?

Sorry, again I have owned a Corvette before but never attempted to add accessories to make it look car show material.

I don't think you will be able to tell the difference. It won't be right next to the other pieces. "Carbon Flash Metallic" is fairly easy to match as long as they use the proper paint codes. Don't sweat it. You'll be OK.
