Powerstop pads
For anyone who bought Powerstop ceramic pads for their C7, what vendor did you use, and were you happy with them?
Thanks.

Amazon. And they are MUCH better than the OEM for dust. Not much difference on the street, but wouldn't track them.

Amazon.
I have about 2k miles on mine. Virtually no dust. Stopping power no different than stock for me on the street. No track tho.

I just ordered mine from RockAuto.com and even found a 5% off code online. They were cheaper shipped price than anyone else!!! And watch out for amazon prime as they charge tax too

Surprised the CT 1521 mafia hasn't come in here yet to tell you how inferior these are

RockAuto here too. Better price than Amazon and you can always find a 5% promo code with a quick Google search. I order most my parts from them. Way better prices on ACDelco stuff than the dealer, and the filters are far cheaper than the local parts store.

Whatever it takes to justify paying 3x the price for a pad with similar performance but more dust

Amazon Prime....... 2 days to receive them. LOVE them. almost no dust, no noticeable difference in performance compared to stock pads. NO brown colored rotors.
Very happy customer.
You can also do a search on the forum and see hundreds of responses on dozens of threads on this subject.

Just to confirm, the right parts for Z06 are Powerstop Z23-1405 and Z23-1718 correct?

NO.... I bought the Z26 - 1405 and Z26-1718 series pads..... there is a difference in performance of the Z26 and Z23.

I thought they had the exact same pad material, only difference was the back plate, no?

Amazon. And Power Stop can warranty an Amazon order. They replaced a set for me that caught a small stone and made a groove. They have a "no questions asked" warranty.

Correct. Pad material is identical, only the shim differs (stainless steel vs. rubberized steel).

No worries, I just wanted to confirm the 1405 and 1718 PNs. I'm going with Z23 though.

One more question, that SS shim plate is touted as better for heat dissipation - is heat really an issue with
street driving including occasional hard pulls and stops?
