Installed ProClip Corvette Angled Dash Mount for iPhone 7 855034
Yup, it's been sitting in my room for 2 weeks now! Installed it today. I tried installing last night and had a confusion meltdown! Could not figure out what to do . So I told myself I'll call proclips tomm. Tonight, I attempt it again - bam! everything just falls together. VERY easy and very sturdy. love it so far!
Proclip website recommend you to buy that 10mm extension plate which I feel unnecessary. I have NOT driven yet but shifted to all gears and reverse. I never hit the phone. Maybe people with plus model should consider that. Also, before you tighten the middle screw (that controls swival), just turn it to perfect angle and then tighten.

Very convenient. I couldn't find much option for phone mounting for c7 GS. Already wasted money on flimsy crap from amazon. I know all my racing friends use proclip(when phone/tablet being used for data) bc even in autox/racing 1.5-1.6 LAt G, these things stay put. No issues. Probably one of the sturdiest mount you'll buy. HOWEVER, it's costly. I think I paid $80. So to some that maybe a bit too expansive.. then again you're driving a $70,000 car

Much better then my current method, the passenger seat! Can you post a pic of the other side where the clip is attached please? It just wedges itself on there by bending to fit over it?
Thank you!
Thank you!

I am considering one of these for my new to me 17 GS. Will the tablet bracket fit or does it sit too low? Also will it swivel far enough to the right for the passenger to view? Thanks.

To Mewn: If you Google the brand name you can find their site easily and see a ton of pictures as well as their installation instructions. To answer your question, they fit into the seems in the handle built into the console and you do not see anything other side (passenger side).

I've been using one of these for a couple of years on my C7 and other Pro Clips on my Audi and Mini Cooper. They are the best I have found for a sturdy and secure holder.
I also like the fact that you can pop the C7 holder off easily if you need to work on the console and then snap it back on in a second when you're done - but, it does not come off when you don't want it to. Pro Clips also provides great customer service for their products.

I use a ProClip as well, but I skipped their holder. Instead, I stuck a big honking magnet on there and the phone sticks to it. Still, same idea. It's in a good place to glance it if you need to but anymore I just do everything hands free with Android Auto. I could probably just put it in the console.

This is the best phone mod to do. I had it for 2 years. the best.

I have this exact same setup (except for the holder (iPhone X)). I ordered the extension plate too thinking I'd need it since my car is a M7. However, it turns out there is plenty of room to shift. No issue as I mounted mine at the highest point.

I have had them in my last 3/4 daily drivers and plan on having one in my C7. They work great, and if you change phone models you only have to change the holder part, not the base mounting device. They are sturdy and well engineered, made in USA. You can remove them with no damage to the vehicle.
Glad you mentioned about the mounting plate, as I really did not want that but thought it was necessary to go through the gears.
Nice write-up!

Please forgive me as I didn't update the thread or answer questions. I have been busy last few days. I used it today. So study, very satisfied!
Absolutely! I took some pictures for you just now:

I'm not sure what tablet bracket you're mentioning.. bc other than a narrow phone, I wouldn't recommend big tablet. I'm assuming your car is 7 speed. If it's auto, you can prob get away with iphone PLUS type slightly bigger phone. But no way big tablet.
I wouldn't recommend keeping the swival loose. You should keep it tightened. This way you can dock in and out easily. Keeping swival loose will be too wobbly. Which answers the last question: no, you can't swivel for the passenger. It's just the way the angle of the device.
Thank you!
Yes, I am making it clear that if you HAVE a 7 speed and own a narrow phone (I have iphone 7 non PLUS), you should be fine without extension plate. But if anyone owns a bigger phone like iPhone PLUS or other android, I say order the extension plate. Automatics should be find for all phone imo. I think Proclips should make it clear. It's almost like they are "OK" getting extra $10 order from every order but it's unnecessary item. They should be clear.

thanks. For $19.99, I just ordered one and will give it a shot! If I don't like it, I will use it in another car.

Ordered it on-line from ProClip and received it here in Canada in 6 days. Excellent service and very easy to install. Now if the weather will improve we can start driving again.
