Thoughts on trading in my '14 for new 17, 18, or 19, wait for '20 new model C8?

Seems to me that one buys a Corvette in order to enjoy the experience. Why would you buy one that's known to be less than another? I'll never know. I can give my right arm and left leg a better workout driving my M7, than you seem to need by going to the silly gym.

My two cents worth, wait for the C8, I had a 14 Z51 convertible that I lost in the flood after Harvey. I now have a 2019 GS convertible abd while I love the car I’d just as soon never lost my 14.

Thanks everyone for your opinions.
I agree with the general consensus, so I'm more likely to hold on to her until the 84 month extended warranty runs out, around March 2021, around 2nd year of the C8.
Been extremely fortunate that my past 42 months has been trouble-free, the convertible top works flawlessly 3 - 4 up/down cycles per day, & the top-down driving is pure pleasure.
Guess the only reason to trade in now/early for a new '17, 18, or '19, is if I get a really great deal (read a few posts that new owners are getting 20 - 29% off '17 leftovers) for Z06 for the extra hp...

That is the plan here. My 2014 vert with 22,000 miles will be paid off in a few months. It has been a simply amazing car that I stop and stare at, every time I walk by. My plan is to wait until the 2nd year of the C8 (when the major dealers will be discounting big), then make the jump to the new model. In the meantime, I plan to be enjoying every mile in my paid off C7...
Well.....maybe red with a tan interior. I have been tempted to sell the C7 and buy a low lineage Ferrari 458, BUT they are still too expensive, and there is a good chance the C8 will be much better. Time marches on.

To the OP you made the right choice...why sell?
Enjoy your ride and fwiw there is no real concern if you roll out of warranty...
84 months warranty was a smart buy too

"84 months warranty was a smart buy too"
I think so too.
Got a great price from Ken F, so I've got peace of mind til late 2021.
Although I've been very fortunate it's trouble-free so far.
My only other warranty I've bought was the 5 yrs tires' for $200. 3 months into new car purchase, limped back into dealer to have one rear tire poked with large screw replaced, free of charge. Glad it more than paid for itself...

Get a great deal on an '18 or a '19 AND get a C8 when they come out. Its only money and you can't take it with you!
