Default 0-60 timer and launch control

Has anyone tried to use the 0-60 timer with launch control? I was experimenting with it last night and could not get it to work. Launch control was working fine, but there was enough movement as the car locked up and settled the rpm that the timer would start. A8 Z51. Anyone have success with using the two together?

I honestly haven't used the timer, but have had the same thing using the 0-60 and launch control with the PDR. I finally figured out if you hold the brake pedal down like it was your last second on earth (LOL) the car won't do that little "creep" when it loads up. That was also setting off the timer on the PDR. It does seem a bit out of line pushing on the brake pedal that hard, but it worked for me.

I’m not sure I could have held the brake any harder 😂. I’ll keep giving it a shot. I wonder if I can load it up and then press reset on the timer. Maybe that’ll work.

That might work, but you will have to be quick LOL. I don't think I'd want to hold the car too long loaded up like that.
By the way lots of forum comments about the timer and the PDR showing different results in the 0-60 times. It seems over all from what I remember reading, the PDR seemed to show "often" a couple tenths quicker than the timer. Ex. timer 4.3 -- PDR 4.0.

Although on 1/4 mile times my PDR was several tenths slower that the track timers Ex. PDR 12.4@116 -- track timer 12.1@117. I have yet to break into the 11's but the I'm guessing the track timer was more accurate; at least I hope so as I got better times consistently with the track timer LOL

Maybe you're not pushing the gas fast enough. Mine barely has any time to react or flare before it figures out I'm doing LC. If you push it down slowly, it might.

Not that. I got launch control to work right. Track mode in competitive mode (non mag suspension), wheel straight, hard brake, floor the accelerator. RPMs settled in at about 2000, off the brake and very brisk acceleration. The problem I was having was that the small initial lurch with flooring the accelerator was triggering the timer, so it was already running prior to the RPM settling and me actually launching.
