Corvette, the Best Car for the Best Man
My buddy is getting married this weekend. For the 4th time in my life I have become the best man. For four times in my life I took grooms to their wedding in a Corvette.
Yeah yeah, it is classy to give a ride to the groom in a Corvette, but I have different reasons for this.
- Corvettes are fast, shorter trip, less re-thinking time for the groom.
- Door latch/lock mechanism and emergency exit lever hard to figure out in the first ride.
- Big engine and dual zone AC, driver can direct warm air to passenger foot well. Groom will not get “cold feet”.
- Worst comes worst you can knock him out in the passenger seat. Enough room. No witnesses on the back seats.

Congrats on being the best man at the wedding, but hopefully the groom doesn’t get cold feet.

Two summers ago I was asked to drive the groom at a traditional Indian wedding to the ceremony. In India, the groom arrives on horseback but this groom wanted horsePOWER so his future mother-in-law asked if I could do the honors in my C7. The family and friends follow the "horse" to the ceremony then escort the groom in. It was a lot of fun! The Christian weddings I have only ever been exposed to could use this kind of fun!
