Accidentally posted my question in the C6 corvette thread thus now posting here.
Can I get information on adding a Supercharger to my base 6.2 Corvette ( Not Z06, Grand Sport, or Z51 ). Some shops won't put one in without dry sump, even though I do not intend to track race. Thank you for any help, this is my 1st Vette
Why would dry sump matter to the shops? I don't see their logic behind that. It has nothing to do with a supercharger.
Agreed, since it does not appear to matter, I can only gather they're saying that since they ( Callaway ) warranty the engine as well, they would not do the upgrade without the dry sump engine.

We can, and have supercharged every model of the Corvette form the 7th Generation, so not sure where that bit of misinformation came from. If we can help with any questions directly, please let me know, thanks.

Callaway is a great shop with a good reputation. So my question is: how do you reliably supercharge an engine that was not intended to be supercharged without lowering compression ratio, strengthening internal components, and remapping fuel and ignition curves?

Great question and am looking forward to Callaway reply
Why not just buy a Z06 ? It's a total package. You start playing around with one thing and you will then have to upgrade the suspension, wheels, tires... cooling... etc... it will never end...
that's silly, we have lots of base model c7's running around with blowers on them. If we can be a source of information for you or would like us to put together something for you just let me know.
Keep the boost below 10psi on stock internals, stay around 650hp to keep it reliable. Getting methonal injection and a good tune are key to keeping it reliable for years to come. Without meth I would keep it at about 600hp or lower to stay safe.

Are the Z06 internals strengthened to handle the extra power over the LT1? If they are (and I think they are), then I would not want to put 650 HP through an LT1.
I can think of a half dozen non-Z51 cars we did (although most were Z51), and yes, PT Warr. is balance from original date of in-service to 3/36k.
Thank you - and congrats on the new car!
Hello, Are you seeing some of the posts below the response above? If so, what's your opinion on my C7 stingray engine being safe to handle the SC637 package. Thanks again for your help.

Our SC627 runs 7 psi. Our SC757 runs just over twice that. The LT4 has strengthened internals which allow that.
I hope this helps.

That makes sense, as the LT4 has both a lower CR and strengthened internals. So it sounds like Callaway doesn't supercharge the higher CR and unstrengthened LT1. Supercharging an LT1 sounds like a huge risk to me.
