Default Chrome wheels

I have a '17 Stingray that is 16 months old and has been garage kept here in Pa with slightly over 2k miles. I'm washing the chrome wheels the other day and find that they have very small pitting marks. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Mine still look like new. I use Cmagic tire cleaner. It also has wax for the wheels.

I live in Pa. with no pitting problems on mine. Car is kept in a climate control garage and polished them once since new.

Do a search, this is a common problem. Your chromies are made in China or Mexico.

I assume the pitting is a combination of brake dust & cheap metallurgy. My '13 GS rims are also pitted. I try to wash off the dust often.

My 2014's are definitely starting to show pitting more and more. I find the Meguiars cleaner wax does an excellent job of hiding a lot of it. Once you get them dirty and wash, the pitting comes back slowly. Not a super big deal if you can stay on top of keeping them clean.
