Default Driving mode settings help

Can someone explain to me how you can set the c7 w/ custom settings..

such as.. always track exhaust? (while in touring or sport mode)
always track steering? (while in touring or sport mode)

I figured out how to select the track hockey stick RPM gauge (which I love) but still confused on the car settings (ediff settings, etc)

Whats the difference between the 3 ediff settings?

In general I dont understand the different possibilities that you can have w/ mixing the settings. Any info appreciated

For example, 2 custom settings I would potentially like:
  1. can you have Track suspension, Track Exhaust, Track steering, but touring throttle settings?
  2. can you have Touring suspension, track exhaust, track steering?

Ok, the things you can select independantly are the NPP (exhaust) and the steering feel.

They are in the settings menu in the infotainment screen.

You can select each item to be linked to drive mode, or for all the time. For instance, you cannot select track steering for sport or track mode, but not for tour mode. It's all or none.

I leave steering in Track (unlinked from drive mode) I like the heavier feel

Same with exhaust. I leave it in track. (unlinked) I like the sound.

Nothing you can do with the throttle. It is what it is. (linked to drive mode) I hated it everywhere, and installed a Vitesse throttle controller. problem solved.

If you have the MRC, you can pick what you want. Changing from Tour to Sport to Track will change all settings not unlinked...

Agreed, the only things you can keep constant are the NPP, steering settings, and gauge theme.

I set my NPP to track mode, my steering to sport mode, and gauge theme to sport mode all the time. I usually set the MRC to sport mode around town & touring mode when on the interstate (7th gear). Before I had the MRC calibration update done, I was in touring mode all the time.

I have a Z06 which doesn't have a coolant temperature gauge since they used the gauge location for the boost gauge. The only place coolant temp shows is in the touring mode speedo display which provides all of the important gauge readouts in a vertical column to the right of the digital speedo display. They are in digital format and are much easier to read than the other displays which are at best poorly designed. I used the steering wheel selection to lock it into that display. I used the engine sound management selection in the center dash display to lock the exhaust into track mode which leaves the exhaust valves open all the time.

The steering settings are overridden when in Track/PTM modes for MSRC-equipped cars as specified in the following chart:

In fact I was used to driving my none MRC control in 2014 Z51 in Sport Mode and had max throttle response. That is what I was used to for 3 1/2 years. In my Grand Sport max throttle response requires setting at Track! That rattled my teeth so was driving in Touring (now with my MRC software upgrade that is changing.) That was sluggish IMO and not acceptable as I was used to a faster response.

I also added a Vitesse throttle controller! Solved the issue. I have it set at 4 or 5 and that, IMO, is about the same as my 2014 none MRC set at Sport.

Below are some graphs to so the approximate issue.

Note in 2014 Sport = Track. For my 2017 Track is more aggressive than Sport that is more aggressive than Touring.

Note, 4/5 setting is linear, which is what matches my 2014 Z51 set at Sport=Track mode. A 9 setting I refer to as "Boy Racer!" IMO too sensitive. Note all settings at 100% pedal are 100% throttle body opening. It does not give extra power but at 9 feels like it!

I also have my NPP set at always Track. The valves still close below about 1700 rpm. That stops drone on the Interstate as I use 7th. It also keeps them closed when I am just cruising in 5th. They are also closed on the 2 mile trip out of my neighborhood! A benefit to to them in the early AM!

PS: Folks who want them always open, pull the NPP fuse or buy a Mild-To-Wild remote relay or use one to build their own.
