i am a new owner of a 2016 Z51 2lt. Thanks to those that helped me finding the right Corvette in previous threads. I found this trunk mat in the car that I couldn’t identify from any web search. It is rubbery, extreme heavy (~40lb) and about an inch thick. It has “made in Canada” stamped on the underside. I believe it is installed to reduce road noise. Anyone have any idea what brand this is? It seems to be very effective for road noise but 40lb is a little much. Here is a couple of pics.
May be a type of studio insulation cut to fit. Idk. 40lbs!!! You have to get a li-ion battery to get the balance back. I used about 8 lbs of sound deadening in hatch, behind seats & rear wheel wells. Quieted road noise and improved audio sound quality.
