WOW Elkhart Lake Blue is real close to Laguna Blue. Maybe we can take another look when an Elkhart Blue car can be put next to a LB car.

I'm thinking it is laguna blue...

But hey, I'm glad they brought it back, I'd rank it as a top color.

I'm wondering why they just don't go ahead and call it Laguna Blue and call it a day?

I took the pics... I saw it in person. It's not the same. Same family, but leans purple vs. Laguna.

I agree it's a waste of time to bring out a "new" color so close to another, but if you can't see the difference in the hue I don't know what to tell you. Close doesn't equal same when it comes to paint colors.

Hmmm looks a bit darker but definitely too close to call. The question is it also a tint coat like laguna blue?

I think both colors are beautiful.

If I had to guess, I doubt it's an aesthetic choice that accounts for the change. More likely a different supplier of a different pigment at a cheaper price and since they couldn't match it perfectly, they had to give it a new name. Just a guess.

Hard to see a difference in the photos. Both nice. I'd lean towards admiral blue as its iconic when talking grand sport corvettes..

Both are nice...

Why did they even bother with such a small change when they could have been way more creative and bold with some real color changes.

Default Blue Corvettes

I am glad Chevy changes out the colors periodically. All of my Corvettes have been blue. My first 1969 L71 Conv. was LeMans Blue (976.) All my current sports cars are blue. My list:

'11 Corvette GS Conv.- Supersonic Blue (GLB)
'13 Corvette 427 Conv.- Night Race Blue (GXH)
'15 Corvette Z06 3LZ- Laguna Blue (G7H) $995
'19 Corvette ZR1 3LZ- Admiral Blue (GTR) (Order WBBPB1)
'11 Camaro 2SS- Black (GBA) (wife drives)
'13 Camaro ZL1 Conv.- Blue Ray Metallic (GXH)
'17 Camaro ZL1 Coupe- Hyper Blue (GD1) $395

I prefer the new Elkhart Lake Blue (GS7) over Admiral Blue (GTR) for my pending ZR1 order to be produced in June/ July. Very close to my Laguna Blue Z06 and the Hyper Blue ZL1. I am not willing to delay the order for Elkhart Blue until Oct. 1st initial production date risking a price increase. Also, I have heard no discussion whether the new Elkhart Blue will be an extra cost color or tint coat like Laguna Blue it resembles costing an extra $995. Regarding the comment that Elkhart Blue resembles Night Race Blue Metallic, not according to what I have seen. NRB has seven different color metallic grains making it a sunlight driven chameleon color with a purple tone cast under certain light conditions. Males are noted for having a greater degree of color- blindness, compared to females, but no less a desire for color preference. Color selection is a very personal matter so what looks good to one is another person's dislike.

But C7 Admiral Blue is just a name. It's nothing like the real C4 Admiral Blue which is one of the best colors ever.

I was there with Tool Hoarder, I know it is hard to tell by the pictures, but it is a different shade of blue. I think when we see one parked next to a Laguna Blue car it will be noticeably different.

Laguna Blue, ALL day!

That new blue looks more like admiral blue.
