My wife and I just arrived home to NJ from the Bash at the NCM in Kentucky. I'd signed up for the touring laps at the Motorsport Park, and took a few laps in the morning. I was glad I waited until after lunch for another few laps, as the instructors told the assembled drivers that if they wanted a sedate spin around the track they'd provide that separately, but for the rest of us, we were going to have some fun.
I was the first car behind the instructor, and so got to follow his lines through the turns, and we had a real blast! We followed that up with the "Engine Build Experience", and got to see a engine assembled by some techs from the plant, the Old Frienda thoroughbred retirement farm the next day, and a local aviation museum. Two great days sandwiched between two 850 miles drives in the Vette. A great week! Thanks to the NCM and Motorsports Park instructors for a great visit. Next stop Ron Fellows!
