Drag race C7 A8
Let me qualify myself - I've been drag racing for 50+ years and have a 10 second C5.
New car is a 2015 Z51 MRC A8 with Pilot Sport A/S 3+,
I need the details on how to best set the traction system and details like: leave off idle or load the convertor, etc.
I have drag radials and full slicks from my C5 that I would prefer to use instead of the Michelins.

Mine will ET better in Touring mode since the shocks are at a softer setting.
T/C and Stabilatrac turned off.
Healthy burnout in manual mode up in 2nd gear.
Back into drive mode.
Leave at an idle to flash the converter as mentioned.
Your car is a perfect candidate for the Hoosier 245-18 DR2 drag radial.

What is the proper procedure for turning them off?

That round dial behind the shifter has a button in the center of it. Push it in once to turn off the T/C, a lighted icon will appear in the upper right hand dash. Push it agin and another lighted icon will appear in the upper left of the dash. You are done now.

My personal experience.....Launch control works great on the street with it's limited traction.
On a prepped surface such as a drag strip the launch control is actually slower.
My own 17 Stingray would run 11.90's to 12 flat with the T/c turned on.
T/C turned off as well as Stabilitrac and it would run down into the 11.70's.
On a prepped surface such as a drag strip the launch control is actually slower.

How do u launch do you flash the converter or do you hold it against the brake at 2200 ?
