32Gb, FAT-formatted drive no longer works in any of the USB ports; worked past two years and works in 2 different computers but Infotainment System sees the drive for ca. 20 seconds (starts playing first song) then goes black and recycles ("Loads Maps", etc) then starts over; ie, sees the USB for few seconds then goes black and recycles, etc.
Does your radio work with any other USB thumb drives? If so, then I'd suspect the USB stick went south - I can tell you from experience, they don't last forever, and can get flaky at random. If no drives work, then maybe try rebooting the infotainment by pulling the fuse for a minute.

So the infamous question has to be asked , have you tried another drive ? they do go bad , maybe the USB connector is not as tight in the car as it is on a computer or you have an error on it that the Infotaiment center cant get past but a computer can
I would try a new drive , load a couple of songs , see what happens
