Rusty Rotors
I have had 2 2007 vettes, both had rust build up on the rotors that drives me nuts.
Anyone have any suggestions on removal of the rust (other than the good ole wire brush) and what can be done to keep it off?

Rotors will always rust, they're cast iron. The friction surface will rust if not driven for a while, but it can be somewhat lessened by the thin transfer layer of pad material. Either an aggressive bed in procedure (like Stoptechs) or a couple hundred miles of normal driving should provide an adequate thin layer. Of course, they'll start rusting immediately after rain or a wash so ehhh. The internal vanes and unswept areas (near the hat) will be more susceptible to rust. You can either mask off the friction areas and apply, which I don't recommend, or you can buy new rotors that are zinc coated or have a black E-coating to prevent rust in those unswept areas.
