Default New shoes

I will do a real photo shoot when I have time but just wanted to throw up a quick pic of the new forged wheels and Conti tires. The tires really transform the car and the set up is several pounds lighter. The finish work and quality of the wheels is just outstanding.

Great choice in wheels - they go very well with the car.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the wheels!

The centers are not WGG...they are a brushed, tinted/coated center with brushed lips. I will shoot some better pics later in the week. They look amazing in person....photos do not do them justice.

The wheel/tire combo is 6 pounds lighter in each of the front corners and nine pounds lighter in the rears. Combined with the Conti's and MSRC upgrade, the car rides soooo much better.....it feels like my previous SL550 but without the extra 600 pounds and much better handling. I can't believe how much quieter the tires are as well....and no wheel hop in sharp turns.

I haven't had chance to compare the handling with the OEM Michelins, but I expect it will be just fine for me as I do not track the car. It really feels like a more refined vehicle. Never thought it would be so different.
