Surprising Mileage
I bought my 2018 1LT Stingray in early March this year, and I have been impressed with its' performance ever since. A few days ago a friend and I took a 250 mile trip to western Virginia to do some fly fishing. The Vette was loaded with all our gear - waders, fly rods, vests reels etc and carry on size suitcases for our clothes. This was in addition to the 450 pounds of passengers the car was carrying! We started the trip with right at 1600 miles on my Stingray, and this was to be the first longish trip I was taking. I had the car in the T or touring mode, and to my astonishment, I got 31 mpg for interstate driving where the speed limit was generally 70. I was stunned by how good the mileage was - is this normal for a 2018 Stingray, or was this a fluke?

You'll probably see even better mileage in the future. I tried to find a picture I took of the DIC of one trip over 34MPG with similar speeds. Still looking but it is possible. These are great cars!

I suspect a lot of the guys talking about 34 or so MPGs on the forum here live in areas that are a lot flatter than Virginia (at least the western part) tends to be. Your 31 MPG seems about right to me based on my experience at 70 mph (+8 over usually) with my 2016 Stingray with 21,000 on the clock. And this is calculated mileage (miles driven divided by gallons pumped) and not relying on the DIC reading. When you have 460 HP under the right foot, 31 MPG is still incredible!

Mileage is something I never think about with my vette. In fact if your mileage is that good you're not having enough fun with it. Drive that thing.

I typically get 32-33mpg driving from DC area to Raleigh and back. While I wasn’t expect high numbers from a sports car, and well the sticker said 26mpg too, it’s nice that it can also be efficient too. It doesn’t seem better than my 135is which has an in-line six. I’m lucky to get 28 on the same run.

With my new high performance C7, thankfully, I will never have to be concerned with the miles per gallon. Esp. at our dirt-cheap unleaded gasoline pricing we in Texas enjoy.
Knowing that it more than doubles the mpg of my new C3 L82 in '76-'78, is a kick though. Very glad I dumped the L82 gas hog 40 years ago this month.
The new C7 in my garage, was absolutely worth the wait! These are GREAT cars!
