Default Active stability control

Ok, rookie question time. There is a button on the center console showing a car and squiggly lines behind it. When I push it the DIC says ‘competitive driving mode’ and when I toggle it off the DIC says ‘active stability control’. What exactly does this mean? Does it effect anti-lock brakes? When should I use it?

A buddy of mine invited me to a race course where you are timmed thru a course. I’m not that good a driver but thinking of giving it a try. My only concern is hitting a cone and scratching my paint. :-)

The button you are referring to is the 'traction control'

All this stuff is in the owners manual. Probably worth reading....

By the way, do you know you're in the C8 section which is discussions regarding 'future product'????
