Default A Vette decision... with a difference

I won't get into my back story (its in Member Intros), but my wife and I are about to purchase our first Vette.

I've narrowed it down, but have an interesting spanner to throw in the works.

2019 Z06 2LZ manual

OR

2019 GS 2LT manual... but with Callaway Aerowagon mod.

I've fallen in love with the aerowagon as I LOVE cars that are unique. Every vehicle I own needs to be unique.
So much so that one of my last vehicles was a Dodge Ram Longhorn 2500 that I imported to Australia from Texas and got a full right-hand drive conversion... just to be one of the only people with one.

I drive like a grandma a little, but unsure if I'll regret missing out on a z06 or if the uniquness of a GS with aerowagon is better.

Interested in thoughts.

Well if you drive like a Grandma and love unique vehicles the GS Aerowagon should meet all your needs/wants.

yeah man, you said it. If you want unique and strange, a regular Z06 is no that.

If you love the looks of the Aerowagon then go for that. Besides liking or disliking the looks of it, I for one would go for the Z06. I thought the LT1 had enough power but I’m becoming accustomed to it.

It sounds like you might switch cars fairly frequently so I would take into consideration the anticipated future demand for the aerowagon when it's time to sell it. Personally, I don't see a whole lot of folks clamoring over it which might pose an issue when it's time to ditch it. It will definitely be unique, but 1974 Ford Pintos are also unique these days so unique doesn't always translate into being desirable. With that said, it's your money, so if you really like the look of the aerowagon, you should pick one up. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with a Z06.

It sounds to me like you've already answered your own question... it's obvious to me that you want the Aero-wagon. You hardly mention the Z06 and why you might want it.

I'd roll with a 2019 ZR1.

Convertible M7 loaded up with options and black spoke wheels.

That's actually different.

type aerowagen in that famous auction website

choose "completed listings"

4 up and 4 down in April, no bidders

a car designed as a solution to a problem that no one has.

I’ve had 3 Stingrays and I felt like I never needed any more power. You probably will be fine.

Having owned 3 Callaway's in the past, they are well made awesome machines. I am pretty sure you would be extremely happy with the Aerowagon. Very rare, unique and fast. Good luck on your choice. I should have kepted my 2013 Callaway. Oh well!
