C7 tires
The only difference I can perceive is that the new tires SEEM to generate more road noise and the ride quality is somewhat degraded, by the stiff side walls, versus the OEM summer tires.
Any difference in handling or traction is not noticeable on street applications. If you run your car on the track you may feel a difference.
Coincidentally, Automobile Magazine had an article this month on wheels and tires, and asked TireRack folks to provide their opinion on the best tires for different uses. One of their top picks for Summer Performance tires is the new Michelin Sport 4S, which is supposed to be better riding and quieter than the A/S 3+ tires, while providing better grip in both wet and dry. So, I have a set arriving this week. Will keep you updated.
Also recommended was the new Bridgestone which I put the Lexus mentioned above. They are more all-season than the Michelins, but I generally don't drive the Corvette in real bad weather so am not concerned about having all season tires. Also did not want run-flats because of the ride. i'll carry a can of tire fix in the back if needed.
