Maybe what you are experiencing is normal. As long as the clutch isn't slipping when under full power, you should be fine. I have read lots of cars have chatter right from the factory. Do some searching youll see it is a normal topic.
Is it just when in first or reverse coming from a stop? If so, I doubt anything is wrong.

just a little judder sometimes. thanks for the reassurance.

still curious on the cost
I have a 7 speed no chatter. Shifts perfect. 60k miles should not need a clutch unless you were very hard on it. I usually get 100k miles or more on a clutch before slight slippage.
Mine seemed to have a little chatter when it was new but seems alright now, like what was said unless your really hard on it you shouldn't need one now. You might want to do the range method if you've never done it up to now. My C6 had a little chatter about a year after I got it and I read about the ranger method.........and it helped alot so I made it a practice about every 6 months even on my C7 (Z06) with the extra horses I don't want any clutch problems. Good luck with it.
Concur with the above posts. If it's not slipping under load, or making other noise, I'd be surprised if you've burned through it unless you were really, really hard on it.
Replaced mine at 42k. Flywheel on the earlier cars is/are garbage. I had GM cover the parts under warranty and paid labor only of $1600. If you want the dealer to do it, expect to pay 4k+ for a stock one.
Entire rear bumper has to come off...takes a good shop 11+ hours of real labor time, dealer book time is 17-18 hours I think.
Replace the slave cylinder too...it falls apart on removal anyway.
I had some high pitched noise on the 2-3 shift, and when my car was in for an oil change the dealer said the clutch needed to be replaced. 11,000 miles. The dealer did everything under warranty and replaced virtually everything related to the clutch. They had the car for a week, but no problems since. My guess is the cost (had I been paying) would have been $1500-2000.
To test a clutch for slipping you want to quickly release the clutch at a relatively slow speed in a high gear. Something like 40 mph and in 5th gear. Under those conditions depress the clutch and then simultaneously release the clutch and floor the accelerator. If the clutch is good the engine speed will immediately drop to what it should be at that speed. If the clutch has failed and is slipping the engine speed will increase and the car will not accelerate. If that happens immediately reduce engine power. And get the clutch replaced.
