In the process of ordering my C7, thought I had settled on Torch Red w/red interior, but now I'm having second thoughts on the color combo and have about a day or two to make my final decision. I really liked how Shark Gray w/grey interior looked in the 2016 model, but the Watkins Gray looks darker. Anyone have any pictures of a Stingray vert w/Watkins Gray exterior and gray interior?
I've also heard the Watkins gray is being discontinued, does anyone know anything about when that is and what the replacement gray will look like?
Yes GM announced it at the BASH. Just a pinch darker and pinch more blue. I have a WGG and I think the new gray is a good color. Pretty close to Cadillac's Phantom Gray.
WGG all day. Lots of compliments and the metallic flake in it is nuts.
What is your interior color? If it is gray I'd love to see a picture. I'm not planning to get black interior. Looking at either red or gray only on the inside.
Are you sure about the yellow and gray combo-sounds awful.
Ha! No I'm not sure. I feel like it would look pretty good, but its a lot of $$ to gamble on a color combo. I did a search on autolist for that specific combo, I thought it looked sharp. Would want black tires with it for sure and I'd probably do the two seats to add some black and reduce the gray.
Guessing the wife won't allow it though. She has been against yellow from the beginning. It's likely to be red/red or gray/gray.
Just thought I'd throw this out there since the OP is still on the fence about it:
Last day to place an order for Watkins Glen Gray is May 17th, which is a week from tomorrow. So needless to say, if this is the color you want, you'll need to pull the trigger very soon. It's replacement is Shadow Gray Metallic. There's also a 4-5 week gap between ordering WGG or it's replacement...meaning you won't be able to get either for a brief time.
Oh, and I ordered (currently an owner of) a WGG Grand Sport, but I don't have a gray interior...it's Adrenaline Red.

Not trying to hijack your post, but this color is awesome. Red is fine but there is no metallic in it, so imperfection show up more easily. The metallic flake hides a lot of dust, chips, and marks. Personally I do detailing as a side business so mine is in great shape but i do have a small chip or 2 around the rear fenders and you cannot see them unless your face is right up to it and looking for it.
Red with red is my first fav choice, gray with red interior is my second. Something about the gray with red interior and red brakes is a beautiful combo!
