Engine Power Reduced
I went for a slow casual ride to the neighborhood mailbox to send a package. The car idled for 20 seconds and when I came back I got a message "Engine Power Reduced". I was limited to 50 kmh (30 mph).
I did a quick search but didn't see any relevant threads. Hoping it resets overnight as I have a long drive on the highway tomorrow.
Anyone have experience with this? Thx on short notice.

Has the car been tuned. If all is stock unhook the neg post on the batt but dont put the hatch down let it sit over night are at least a few hours to really clear stuff out on it....You not been playing under the hood cleaning are plug wires have you... Robert

Well, you should drive slowly in the neighborhood, anyway. The car knows! 
On a more serious note, I hope it was a one-off glitch never to be seen again. Keep us posted. Was there a CEL? if so, do you know what code?

Thanks for the responses. I haven't tuned her or tinkered under the hood. I'll see if it cleared over night otherwise I'll disconnect the battery.
She ran fine this morning but did throw a code. My Audi OBDII reader doesn't work on the C7 so I'll have to buy another one.

OK - just to circle back for future thread searchers....
The issue was the throttle control sensor. I installed a Vitesse and after inspeaction, it appears one of the pins wasn't seated perfectly.
I ordered the OBDII bluetooth reader below from Amazon (same day shipping) and it worked great.
