Sounds like a great build and welcome to the Z06 club and if you want COMP SEATS than that's your choice which is all that matters!

Is there a different part # or way to know that it's the "new" version?

The part number was 23296468 for a light gray 3LT interior. It was the same part number as the one that needed to be replaced. I think they are just finally sending the new version. The way I think it is a new version is it hasn't wrinkled and it feels firmer.

My armrest was replaced yesterday ( 2nd replacement) the part number is
84255344. We will see if it is any better than the last one which was only a year old. The original was only a year old also. Both looked like crap after a years use.

Beat me to it.

Had the top off the car th other day, parked in the sun awhile, came back and the indentations were gone. Pretty sure they’ll be back so I’m thinking of getting it replaced under warranty.

Funny. My 2016 was ruined and I fear I’ll do the same to the 2017 so I’m super cautious putting weight on it. I should just go with it and take it to the upholstery shop down the road when it gets bad.

My original one isn't too bad. No wrinkles but there is a small dent (you can feel it but not see it).

I'm hesitant to get it replaced.

Glad to hear that it's covered under warranty. I've had my car for a little over a month and noticed a dent in the lid when I'm in the back of the car with the lid open. I'll be going to the dealer before my warranty is up.
