Default Odd question

17 GS, 4,500 miles and just noticed that the middle instrument cluster does not light up or come alive at same time the cluster on right and left light up, maybe a second or two afterward when I start the car. Clusters are set for tour std. view. Not sure if it has always been that way or not, just caught my eye yesterday. Is this normal or something to worry about. Could someone do a check for me. Thanks

Not quite sure I understand what you're asking ... are you talking about the LCD display in the middle that shows the configurable speed/tach/etc display? Pretty sure mine comes on when I unlock/open the door.

yea, when i hit start button the fuel and temp on right cluster comes up as well as speedo on left at same time and then a couple sec. Later the middle digital speedo comes up. I thought they all came up or light up all at once but could be wrong. Thanks

That's because the gauges on each end are analog gauges. They are built in and never change. The ones in the middle are variable and digitally presented on a separate screen. Two totally different ways of presenting information.

So to my question, sounds like it is normal for middle gauge to be delayed a sec or two after side gauges fire up. Thanks guys

Normal - hard (real analog mechanical) gauges power up and do a self check. Computer driven displays - center instrument cluster and info take a bit longer as processors boot and self check.
