I've got a 2017 GS M7. Didn't get much driving in during the winter and just recently starting to drive it more. I'm noticing a slight vibration in the steering wheel, especially when doing 35 to 45. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal (don't remember it feeling like this last year). I'm thinking it could be...
1. tires getting old/low on tread and need to be rotated?
2. something getting loose in the steering mechanism?
3. front wheels damaged (hit a bad bump last summer) and they're finally starting to bend?
Any bets on which it is or other thoughts? Guess it's time to head over to a tire store to get the rims checked out.
Same thing happens on my '17 GS, but not until higher speeds. What setting do you have the steering in?
Did you try it in tour/sport/track and see if there's a difference. Also, do you have the tire pressure properly set? Has the car been sitting for awhile?
I have the steering set to tour (override setting). I typically keep the tires slightly over-inflated. Cold around 31 and then it gets up to 35 when warm. But I did that when the car was new and didn't notice any vibration then, so I don't think it's the tire pressure.
