Touch screen erratic..blank plus...
So, I seem to be experiencing the dreaded blank screen. But it's intermittent . Sometimes the screen will be on but stuck on its current display. Menu buttons not responsive. Radio won't work.
Last night, screen was blank along with the steering wheel back lighting inop.
yay me.
Also, I tried to get into the radio via the steering wheel controls. When I selected radio...the display said it AUDIO OFF.
bizarre.

15. 34k miles. Just outside warranty of course.
Just got got off the phone with Dennis and bought the platinum plan. I had wanted to before my warranty expired but...just couldn’t at that moment back then.
Cost a lkttle more but will will be worth it. 30 grace period tho

I swear...it behaves like theres a loose connection. I powered up briefly...I saw a long worded message in red on the screen...began with "There is a communication error...."
and thats all I saw cause it disappeared before I could read it. I think I heard a relay click somewhere during the electrical 'chaos'. Maybe from the rear?
Thought about disconnecting the battery for a little while...

Can’t remember if my back lighting went out intermittently when it freezes up, but was getting the audio off message, and a ocassional crackling sound out of the speakers. Mines still under warranty, and I’m watching it closely. I kind of wish it would just go out so I could just have it replaced.

Today...it’s fine. Ugh.
I gotta wait till mid June for the new warranty to take effect. As long as all the big parts work, I’ll be fine. LOL.
But, I’m not gonna use valet mode in fear of the screen going Tango Uniform again and then NOT being able to unlock it. That would suck.

Thanks man, yea it is cheaper before warranty runs out so I hear. My GS is a yr old so I will prob. wait another yr.
