I saved everything. Just look at the forums for the older cars; the threads are full of "do you have the original tank sticker?" etc. comments. Plus, I like to have it all. To each his own of course. Today that stuff is obtainable but it might not be in years to come

Window stickers and other such paperwork might add value to a C7 in several decades. For the foreseeable future it's simply nostalgia to keep everything, not that that's bad. I kept my window sticker, but never thought about framing it (and still won't) with no thought that it would increase the value when I sell it some day.
I'm one of those guys that keeps everything that pertains to every vehicle I own, build sheets, window sticker, service records etc. It's never helped me at the end of the day, but I still keep the crap. My guess is it's some kind of unidentified genetic defect.
Thanx guys. I keep all that stuff myself, also. I also have all the tags you get with the keys, or remotes. The add they put in the plate frames also. And all the paper work, and crap you get at closing the deal. I have info going back to 1965 when I bought my first muscle car a 1965 Chevelle Malibu ss. Look through it every once in awhile, thinking of all the good times. Was just curious who else was challenged in this way lol.
Great info for the next owner if you ever sell the car. It is the build sheet with all the options. The last seller gave it to me. I like having it. It reads my car was $77,000 I never pictured myself owning a car that cost that much. Cost me $30,000 less until I put $14,000 into it. You cannot laminate the original. It will destroy it. First photo copy it then laminate the photo copy.
I'm a collector/investor of of cars, knives, antique Winchester rifles, antique ammunition and other things so I keep EVERYTHING associated with items I own. Of course my GS is not an investment but habits are hard to break.
Here's a little garage wall display including the window sticker.
I’ve kept everything on all of my new Vettes and while it didn’t add any value when selling I think it was one more thing in favor of choosing mine over another.

I purchased my window sticker and build sheet from NCM. They are really nice and it only takes about 2 weeks to get. Framed them and hung them in my garage. They look awesome and are a great conversation piece.
