I was in the same spot about two weeks ago. I was looking for a 2014/2015 as well.
I ended up finding a 2014 Cyber Grey w/ Kalahari interior, Z51, 3LT, 7-spd Coupe...I'm picking her up on June 5th (after vacation).
They are hovering at the lower side of $40k. Sure the Z06 is much higher, but if you are looking a lower end model - thats where you should land.
Ive also heard that the 2014's have been known to be very reliable.
What colors and options are you looking for? 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, Z51, Z06, Auto, 7-spd, Convertible, Coupe... If you share what your looking for, you will start getting everyone's opinion.
PS - I work in Raritan, NJ - grew up in Wyckoff, NJ - Id love to see your new toy when you pick her out! Best of luck with your search!
You can check with Chevy .com for the vin to see if it has the gas tank problem, if its A8 drive it and see if there is any shudder or if has had the torque converter replaced. if you can get 2015 that was the first year of the PDR, the 2014 doesnt have the trans problem as it was a 6 speed auto

I'm looking for either yellow or red 2LT coupe. I would consider other colors only if it were a great deal. A6, A8 or 7MT is fine. I dont have any strong preference. Anything beyond that (Z51 etc) would be gravy (assuming it's beyond my budget).
I'm in Somerset. Would be happy to show you my toy once I get my hands on it.

Exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for.
Thanks
If it makes no difference being a automatic, or manual transmission, go with the manual. You can see by my signature what I have. My automatic has been splendid for 66,500 miles, but if I had know there were potential issues I would have bought a manual. Other than that I don't think there are any red flags except on the 2014 roof pin replacements and the Mylink infocenter screen going bonkers.
(the new gas leak potential recall wouldn't concern me. It would be like winning the lottery based on the rate of occurrence.)

For the model years the OP is looking at -- there's no need to check, as *all* 2014-2016 C7's (and even some 2017 C7's) have the potential gas tank problem, and thus are covered with the warranty extension program.
I've got a 2014 Stingray that has been fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as far as reliability goes. Even though the "conventional wisdom" says to avoid 1st year cars -- the 2014 C7 seems to be the exception to that rule.

Yup - amazing I always thought otherwise until now - no problems at all with my 2104 and super happy with my decision to make it a widebody with a real paint job on it
