Mystery Plug
This is located under the dash of my C7 near the OBD2 port. Any idea what it is for?

Aftermarket plug. You bought your car used, I assume. PO installed something that plugs into the OBD2 port?

I did buy used so it certainly makes sense. Thanks

There was no hardware in the car when I bought it lightly used. The previous owner just may not have removed the cord.

Is there any part number or anything on it? Where does the other end connect to?

No identifiable markings on it. It snakes up into the dash somewhere. I may take the dash apart and see if I can figure out where it is going.

All the hardware on mine is behind the plastic kick panel so all you can see in the plug and wire leading behind it. Can always plug it in and see if it does anything obvious.

Might be a OBD power adapter for a radar detector, dashcam or other accessory to power it up. I assume the prior owner removed the accessory but did not pull out the wiring.

If all is working correctly, why not just tie or tuck it up out of the way and go on?
It's hardly worth taking"...the dash apart..." imho.
