Origin of this clip and how do I put it back in place?

It was dangling loose from the underside of the car just behind the drivers side wheel (location as pictured).

it looks like one of your screws under that part is missing, that does not hang down on mine...

could it have been from the original shipping cover that was lodged up there, and finally decided to drop out ???

I just looked at and under my '18 and I find nothing remotely similar. Is it plastic? If so, it appears far too insubstantial to be anything of import.

Good thought, have no idea of origin, just putting it in a drawer in case one day it's true home is discovered.
