I’m in the market for a sun shade, but how and why are these products so expensive? Not just this brand but others too..
It’s a good sale if anyone isn’t as cheap as I am, though!

Second, the GM License for the Logo Rights is between $8-15 thousand dollars.
@ $20 profit each, that would be 400 units sold just to pay for
GM License for the Logo. That does not include the cost of materials to
make and package the product. It also does not pay for the CAD design,
if you have never had to pay for one of those for mass
production, then the cost would blow you mind.
At this price, my bet on break even cost would be north of 2000 units
or about 4 years

I’m so used to getting sun shades for free as marketing materials that it blew me away when I started seeing the price of these.
Maybe I’ll convince the family to get me one of these as a gift over the holidays!

Funny, I just ordered this today. It really is not that expensive. I purchased one for my SLK and TT and they both where around 100. You pay for the custom fit. Plus, it should last at least 5 years..so about 20 bucks a year. Glad to hear everyone has liked theirs.

I purchased one of these. Yes, it's more expensive than a cheapo Autozone shade made out of a $0.98 cent space blanket cut into vaguely the right shape and floppy, however it's also well made, fits perfectly, and actually works VERY well. I have a leather dash to protect, to this (along with having the front window ceramic tint coated gives me peace of mind.
