I know that I have seen a post on here about a car with a 1lt package therefore it does not have the home link sun visor, But members have ordered aftermarket visors to install with home link and I have not seen where they dont work.
The reason for the post is that I traded my homelink visor to a forum member for his standard visor.
Now I just left the dealer after having the new fuel rail covers put on and the tech ask where is my sun visor. So I told him the story about trading and he said that my visor will not work in a 1lt car. My car is a 2lt.
Can anybody tell me if it will work or not?
It sure will work. I ordered an OEM homelink visor from GMparts.com and it works fine on my 1lt. Only feature I wanted vs a 2lt and I got it for 200 bucks, not thousands.
It will work. Tech needs to hit the books a little more. If it worked for you, it'll work on the 1lt

My car was new when I bought it, But I don't have a garage only a carport so I don't need the home link, Thats why I traded to a forum member who needed homelink

This. I did the same thing and the total install time was 20 minutes.
As a side note, the transmitter in the sun visor works from MUCH further away than any other one I've seen. I can literally press the button a street away from my house and the door will open.
EDIT: The new part number for the 1LT HomeLink visor is 84445346.
