Ok, question for black vette owners with ceramic coated - how much dust (or pollen here these days) stick and shows if you DD and park it outside for long hours? My black vette get covered with dust/pollen on Monday itself and I don't like the look for rest of the week. How is it after ceramic coating?

Simply hose the pollen off and wipe dry with micro fiber cloth.
Pollen will show regardless of wax, ceramic or any other protector.
Water will 'bead' off the ceramic, but a quick wipe will eliminate any H2O spots.

I can try and help you but I've only had my black car for about 3 weeks and will not get it coated for another couple of weeks but my Supersonic blue C6 has been coated for about a year now. And neither car is or was my DD.
The coating of course will not prevent dust or pollen from getting on the car but will make it easier to get off. You can use a leaf blower or just driving it will get a lot off. I usually would just spray the C6 off with my preasure washer using the lightest nozzle once a week and dry it with a "Master Blaster" if it was dusty or dirty. Then I do a 3 bucket hand wash like once a month. I'm hoping I can do the same with the Black Z after It's coated. The most amazing thing to me is how easy the brake dust comes off the coated wheels and calipers.

I have the exact same black Corvette. I've Ceramic coated it twice including the wheels (inside and outside)
Not sure if I will ever buy a black car again.

I hate to hear that but most coatings I know of last at least 3 years. I'm getting a 5 yr coating put on mine. If you're car is a 17 and you've coated it twice already I'm not sure what you used or what's going on with it.

Looks GREAT!!!
What product did you use?

I've had several black Vettes over the years and nothing looks better than a fine black finish at it's best. Just so hard keeping it that way.

I just don't have the patience anymore to devote the hours required for keeping a black car looking the way it can look.

We’re in the middle of pollen season here and it’s been brutal, I’ve been cleaning my black vette twice a day jus to keep it looking respectable.

Thanks for the feedback... I do plan to get it ceramic coated at some time later this year. I have blackfire crystal seal on it right now and do weekly rinseless wash. This gives me very good results. Most of the dust and pollen blows off during the highway drive but some stays on it which look terrible.

Nice! Off topic but I see that you put spacers on your wheels. What size spacers did you use for fronts and rears? Is your car lowered? Do the wheels rub?

My car is not black, but I just got a ceramic coating applied and I can’t agree more. Recently after a long drive I had road tar all over the drivers side of the car. A lot of road tar. It came off with detail spray and very little effort. In the past this would have been a pain in the *** to remove. There is no comparison between ceramic and wax. It may look similar after it’s freshly applied, but it doesn’t have the same benefits as a ceramic coating.

I didn't do the second coat because it needed it. I did it because I had some free time to fill.
