God I wish Ford offered the FGT in mass. What a gorgeous car in action!

Actually as I remember the tire puncture occurred when one of the AMs bumped us...we went off course later when we couldn’t hold the line. Sad, disappointed ting ending last year but all part of the endurance aspect.
Garage is all set for the big day...sadly hotter than hades in Chicago for garage viewing.

I love the old ‘59 poster.

Too bad it costs $450k and you need approval from Ford to buy one. Seriously though, I've seen one up close and personal, and V6 or not, that car is just plain badass. Gotta give props to Ford, the GT is a work of art.

Ford loses 4th, drops to 12th, due to kanaan not driving the required 6 hours. promotes the #63 C7.R to 4th

I'm glad to see Corvette MS/Corvette Racing fans! As per the announcers at Le Man, this is the last year for the C7.R? The next run at Le Mans will be with the new C8.R? I can't find any reference for this, but that sounds about right if/when the new C8 rolls out in early 2019 as the 2020 model.

I watched it too. They were driving at night around 11-12hrs to go. I didn't DVR it, but the announcers were clearly discussing this as the last year at Le Mans as the C7.R and Corvette MS stated to them (announcers? network) that the next Corvette entry will be the C8.R. I can't make this up. Why would I?

No. Doug clearly stated there would be not enough time to run a next gen car, it would be the C7.

I bet Corvette takes a year or two off. With the top group moving to hypercars they should consider that but rules aren't firm, and the C8 wont be a carbon tub or hybrid.

The main reason the #63 could only manage P4 was not the lack of pace, it was more likely the luck of the draw with the Safety Car periods, the 8+ mile lap dictates at least 2 Safety Cars, and if you get caught in the wrong place when they come on track, you stand to lose basically a full lap to the leader. Looking at the lap charts, the fastest race lap was by the #63 Corvette, the only car in GTE Pro to dip into the 3:49's, the rest of the class was low to mid 3:50's at best, most in the #3:51-3:52 range.
