Default Installed new ported throttle body now have sucking noise

so I installed a new ported throttle body last night and when I ran the car I hear a sucking noise I’ve never heard before. I double checked everything and see nothing that I missed. Just doesn’t sound right and my rev match doesn’t even sound the same. Any ideas. I’m going to put the stock one back on tonight after work to see what happens.

You must have something loose/leaking. There wasn't any sound change for me - just improved throttle response.

My 2017 Z51 manual trans has a brief sucking noise when I step on the gas to take off from a stop. The car runs fine and this only happens from idle. Similar to a carburated engine when the air filter was off and you'd hear the carb sucking in lots of air.

I do not have this issue on my 17 Z06 A8 trans. Anyone have this issue on a manual trans engine?

May not see a code BUT I have a relatively loud sucking sound at WOT when I installed an aFe low restriction air cleaner and lower restriction air intake tube. The key is the larger oiled cotton filter that causes the sound.

For comparison my ProStreet Rod has a 502 cid Chevy engine with long tube hearers and 3 inch pipes going through Bola straight through mufflers. The K&N oiled cotton 14 inch OD by 5 inch high air cleaner makes more noise than the exhaust at WOT!

Suggest you: 1) may have a leak in the throttle body to air intake, however that would cause a CEL or 2) more probably since no CEL it means all air is passing through the MAF so if you removed the air cleaner and installed a low restriction cleaner that is the cause, or 3) if removed and reinstalled the OEM filter you did not put it back properly.

aFe left, OEM right

OP, haven't experienced this. Did the blue washer stay put on the manifold? Maybe over tightened and not mated properly? Spec is only 88 lb in.
