I've never seen eco-mode with my M7... and, never will. Thanks for confirming why.

I’ve gotten 28 in our Z06 A8 going from Rolla MO to Indianapolis in tour mode driving 70 plus. Usually get 24-26 highway.

I just got back from a round trip between Virginia Beach and Baltimore. The way up was a mixture of speeds from a Virginia acceptable level over the speed limit to stop and go traffic. I traveled with the top down and the A/C on with the car in touring mode and full auto.. I averaged 24 mpg. On the way home I traveled with the top up and A/C on with very light traffic. I had the car in touring mode and the transmission in manual mode. I averaged 31 mpg. I'm driving a 2017 Z51 vert non mag ride.

I have driven from east Texas to Abilene with M7 in 6th, driving speed limit or slightly over, never used ECO mode, and still got 32.9 mpg. Good enough.
I have never even tried ECO mode, and have still had to replace the belt tensioner because it started leaking fluid...I still have not figured out why a spring loaded tensioner needs hydraulic fluid in the chamber with the spring..

Friend in his 2015 Z51 A8 in ECO averaged 35.0 MPG on I-29 in Iowa, driving at 74 MPH.
It can be done.

Very well then. Enjoy in good health. But my MPG concerns are more about how well I can do at 90-100. Because that is the traveling speed on open stretches in California. At which I have gotten 25-27 depending on how many times a downshift was required to get around the PRIUS/TESLA contingent.

Went to Ocean City from NoVa -- 190 mile trip. Minimal traffic since I left early. Car is a non z51 M7 and NOT using the A/C either trip.
To OC WITH Eco mode I got 35 MPG door to door average. From OC WITHOUT Eco mode I got 32.6 on the way home.
Not bad. My Z51 MN6 C6 got 29.0 on the same trip stock. My C7 is stock as well.
Thought I would share.

On a 6000 mile trip cross country, I averaged 26.1 mpg for the entire trip mostly in touring mode and mostly on Cruise set at 82 mph in 7th gear on the interstates.
Going through Kansas on Rt 70 I ran one tank in ECO mode and got 26.1 mpg average for the 300+ miles, all on cruise control. Even though Kansas roads are known to be relatively straight and very flat. the car cycled from v4 to v8 and back at the slightest bend in the road and even the very smallest grade changes. On average as often as 4 times/minute. It's that sensitive!
All mileage was based on actual pen/paper calculations at each fill-up.
Never used ECO mode again on my 2016 Z51 M7

Bet you had more fun with the car out of eco mode.

If the car is set on cruise control, there's no real difference in the car's performance. If you mash the gas while in Economy mode, it instantly negates the V4, and goes to V8. So, there's no difference in modality, regards "fun." I just drove over 600 miles in a new Yukon, and it worked the same as my C7. It's always, "fun," with the bonus of improved mgs at times.

Am truly amazed that a car with 455 HP and can do 0-60 in under 4 seconds can get this kind of mileage...
In May, I completed a 2500 mile trip from CA to CO and back via Las Vegas, Utah and the Rockies
Stingray 7MT, ECO mode for the entire trip, speed limit plus 5...
Return trip suffered from 2+ hr of stop 'n' go construction traffic on I15 south of Vegas
CA to Colorado
Colorado to CA
