Discount Tire damaged all 4 wheels

it took about two weeks and when the wheel arrived, they damaged it again.
when they offered to send it for repairs again, the manager told me to just take it somewhere else to have the tire mounted when it arrived and that’s when I complained to corporate via email.
the manager quickly called me back very apologetically and promised to get me a new tire and order me a new wheel . When both arrived, he mounted the tire himself for me.
if you are not getting much help, go to the DT website and email corporate directly with your concerns.
they replied very quickly when I had that issue.

Damn! That's crazy! Is the steel indented too? Or just scratched?
Did it sound as if a gorilla was slamming your wheels on the tire machine? Or when he was using the crowbar device?
I noticed this dented nutcase on my wheel yesterday: Wondering how or if this happened when my car was worked on at Discount Tire?
BOTTOM NUT:
Just curious. I was it the machine itself?

I have the machine in the picture below. It is similar to what DT uses. When you swing the arm to the wheel, you need to position it about a half inch away. Then you take a tire iron and pop the bead onto the duck bill.
It is so easy for a low profile tire to wack the duck bill into the wheel if it is too close.
I always warn riders that there is a possibility to scratch a wheel when I am working on their bike. I give them the option of which tire changer I use.
I have not scratched a wheel yet. Knock on wood... with 35 years of motorcycle tire changing. I use both a Coats 220 manual machine and this Coats Base Line pictured.
I know places like Cycle Gear scratch wheels daily, just because it is very easy to do if you don't practice with the tools and get familiar with the process before working on a customers bike.
Personally, I watch the fellows working on my car when I go to DT.
I have no problem stopping them and requesting they do it the right way. But I know how to use the tools. Most drivers are shopping the Sam's warehouse and don't care about how the minimum wage guy is handling their car.

That dented lug is from an impact wrench... Put some black Gorilla tuner lugs and forget those GM crappy things.
They will look a lot better with your wheels.

Years ago I asked that very question to my dealer, who had to send C6 RFs to their other store 50 mi away.
4 tires, 8 hours.
Told a new Hunter (IIRC) costs $25,000, that's why. Only their big store can support one.
As I said it was years ago, can only imagine what one of these babies run today.

My Discount store just purchased a new Hunter machine that cost them $13,000. It never touches the outside edge of the rim and works great on high end wheels. They do charge extra to use that machine.

They told me the same.. I was watching though and I could tell they were having problems.. So I made sure when they were done to check them.. It took them 3 hours mind you.. Should have known. The Manager was even involved.. They weren’t going to say anything to me either.. But I knew better and called them out... iodiots! Now I have to find a place the does Corvettes!

Sorry to hear about your wheels. A month ago, I took my C6 with optional Comp Gray wheels to Discount for new Michelin Super Sports. The car came back with two of the four wheels damaged. I have been a customer of Discount for many, many years and never had a problem with any of my cars including 2 Cadillac CTS, Yukon Denali, Jeep, and, the list goes on. They asked me to bring in the Vette for a "couple" of days and they would send out the wheels to a restorer twenty miles away. I have a problem with that. I decided to touch up myself, but the paint is not available from the dealer or any third party. The paint code is WA924, Gun Metal Gray Metallic. Does anyone have any ideas.

Yep. Every time I've tried them. They suck. I've even gone to the one with the fancy *** machine. Ding the wheels or paint every time.
Now I go to a speed shop here in town that caters to exotics for tires and alignments.
