Default Charging Vette

My 2005 coupe I used the C tech 3300 and always kept it plugged into the cigarette lighter to charge. My new 2019 coupe came with the same charger but in the rear of the hatch is a cigarette lighter connection to plug into. Does it really matter if I use the cigarette lighter at the center console? It's much easier to run the plug in the window to the center console plug.

The two outlets in the front of the car are now "switched"- when the engine is shut down, they dead and can't power anything or receive a charge.
Only the trunk outlet is always live.

Sad part is you gotta use the outlet in the back hatch, the ones in the console are off when the ignition is off, the only outlet that stays live is the one in back. I just run the cord in the corner of the hatch, loop it around the back slightly and close the hatch carefully. If you do it right, no kinks in the cord, everything works fine.

Well after 4 years I needed to change the battery in each remote and the other day I tried the battery tender to check the car battery and it looked like it also needed charging because I haven't driven it lately enough times to keep it charged so I gently lifted the top and put my knee pad in the center of the front of it so as to take the cord from the back outlet to the electrical outlet next to the driver's door !!! You can buy a 12v socket extender for under $10 and route your cable out the window or wherever you want.

Or, just gently lower, but not engage the latch and shut the hatch completely. The interior lights will go out in +/- 15 minutes.

I just ordered the 8 foot extension from C tek for $10.00. My charger is mounted on a wall but wouldn't reach the plug in the rear hatch, It will with the 8 foot extension.
