I just upgraded my 2017 M7 1LT interior to carbon fiber from APSIS. I replaced the dash, console, steering bezel, and door open control bezels. While doing this I also replaced the shifter with a MGW. I'm having electrical issues though.
The controls on the steering wheel bezel don't work. The Fav+/- and Vol +/- on the steering column don't work. Rev match as well as lighting/turn/wipers do work.
All controls on the dash work.
All controls on the center console work as well s the center display (including volume/skip/pause/etc)
All controls on the drivers door work, including those that control the passenger door (window/lock).
All interior controls on the passenger door don't work.
Both exterior door controls work.
Seats, rear hatch, lighting all work.
I checked the fuse for the steering wheel airbag/controls and it is good. R&R'd the steering airbag & bezel. No change.
R&R the passenger door open control. No change.
Puller the center console and check wiring - all connectors were seated properly.
My ODB scanner shows no codes.
Any ideas on what is wrong? Perhaps there's a connector I missed?
Thanks, but I did that when I R&R'd the steering wheel airbag (twice).
You may missed to connect with harness for pass door after you swapped out the Power window bezel. Check it again. Normally the controls on doors has nothing to do with steering wheel controls.
I would also suggest double check if you missed to connect the wiring for steering wheel controls. There are small connectors behind the control buttons and hard to reach. Maybe you missed it.
Turns out I didn't miss either of them. However I took the steering wheel apart again and rechecked the connectors again. One wasn't quite fully inserted. I popped off the passenger door and the connector there wasn't fully inserted. Thanks apsis for the hints. I blame all this on shoddy workmanship.
