You probably will get a pretty strong odor for 20 miles or so till all manufacturing oils inside & out burn off. Especially noticeable at stop lite/signs. Does smell like oil from a leak onto engine so don't get scared. At least mine had this very brief smell.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I had one on a mustang and it did the same. I was just curious if removing the 2 baffles would make any difference other than sound.
Has anyone just cut off the 2nd cats on the stock X pipe? It seems the factory one works very well and the main benefit is removing the secondary cats.
OK cool thanks... i have a base stingray and looking to see what X pipe ONLY sounds like on NON npp car.
i also had the stock exhaust on my Stingray, had a Corsa Extreme cat back installed, and couldn't be happier. The car now sounds like a Corvette should sound.
