Default Install MagRide or NPP?

Hey Guys,

I saw a Corvette I liked but it didn't have the options I wanted. To be well informed, can I install Magride shocks and the Corvette computer will recognize them and adjust the stiffness based on the mode I select if they were not installed as part of the factory build?

Same question for the NPP mufflers.

Thanks.

MSRC includes a separate CPU that does not exist in non-MSRC cars so just adding the shocks will not do it for you.

Short answer. NO! I have heard people trying to install a complete system but the cost was huge. Plus, I don't think it ever got finished. Computers have to have the correct program so you are probably looking at new computers and all.
NPP exhaust is no big deal, you can get them from Borla and others but they will have an aftermarket controller.

Wiring harness for NPP is not there on a non-NPP car. As mentioned above, you can go aftermarket instead.

Thanks guys. This is what I wanted to know. I wasn't sure GM programmed one computer to save money and the only think keeping the system from working is having the right shocks. I guess not.

My advice is to buy s car that already has these options. It will be cheaper in the long run.

^^^
Agree. There have been many threads on this. Very difficult to retrofit.

Nope. You've got to have them factory installed.

That said, I believe that there's a thread a member started a few days ago, describing his aftermarket NPP install.
